Just seen 7512 in West Bromwich missing both front light covers, I'm assuming heading down to West Brom for either MOT or repairs.

Why doesn't this new 64 run to city and create an all day connection from Birmingham to the fort, seems odd to terminate at Nechells

Because it would need an extra bus to run, which doubles the operating costs.

These services are funded by Amazon, for the purpose of getting workers to and from the Peddimore site.

I also understand the 67a is just being recalled the 68 , hence the invention of 64, makes sense now

Quote from: Stu on February 03, 2024, 07:01:56 PMNo, I'm guessing any 'planned' 68 service ended up becoming the 64 and X64.

The 67A is not withdrawn it's renumbered 68, just click the 'From 25th Feb 2024' tab to download the timetable.

And rerouted to run along the Kingsbury Road. Instead of Tyburn Road/Chester Road routing past Pype Hayes.

Though it does make you wonder what the point of the "express" X64 all the way to the City is when it goes round the wrekin. And the non X route 68 goes via a much direct route.

See my earlier reply, the "point" is to increase the recruitment coverage area by linking with other services at key interchange points.

The X64 and 68 follow the same route from City to J6. For anyone travelling from City or Aston to Peddimore the 68 should be quicker than the X64, was my point.

I've seen NX have said they will be "working with TFWM to establish permanent stopping locations on the Bromford Road in the coming weeks".
Wonder if they will be able to put up temporary stops for now, as the service starts Sunday.
