wonder when the 96 gets a timetable change, its always constantly 10-20 mins late very often 30 at peak times, even when there isnt any issues with traffic or roadworks.

Like as of right now the most punctual bus is 23 mins late, most late being 42 mins late which has been the normal for quite a while now

Don't think it was this unreliable under diamond

It is taking 26 minutes to get from the Fort to Erdington, which should take 12, not sure any bus can avoid traffic

Think there was more running time but less drop back with diamond

There wasn't, either way, the same round trip time, so doesn't make any difference to accumulative delays

If Diamond were still running it, it would be just as unreliable now, for the reasons Tony stated above.

You were only moaning the other day about how unreliable Diamond's 4H is!
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Not the same route though, diamond did the old oscott section between half 9 and half 2 and only got 4 mins drop back at kingstanding, what's not helping the 96 currently is the road works on Holly Lane.

According to bus times 1874 on the 28 doing the 1409 from Heartlands to Scott Arms running an average of 4 minutes early between Tameside Drive and The Crossways, it arrived at Scott Arms at 15.18 which was 5 minutes early.
Surely this is unacceptable.

Yes, it's unacceptable that the GPS on 1874 is out slightly so doesn't track correctly.

With regards to the last point. It left the last timing point at Beeches Road (due 15:11) at 15:11:22 according to the Satnav built into the drive-cam unit and arrived at the stop by Old Walsall Road at 15:17.40. Bustimes then records it at Scott Arms at 15:17:45 when it is directly opposite the stop, but by the time it had got up to the U-turn and back to the actual stop at the Scott Arms it was 15:22:10 (50 seconds early). This is why the 'Late running thread should only have things people have actually seen, not just watching a screen

I wasn't just watching a screen, my wife was on another bus hoping to swap to the 28 which in the end wasn't possible, I was on the phone with her tracking it on bus times. Whilst i take what you said with my apologies do not assume that I was just looking at a screen !

Surely it should be worded as 'Bus A is running x minutes late, according to Bustimes. Is there anyone on the ground that can confirm this?' ?
