4810/11 have been debranded. which means 4812 is the last remaining 16 branded.

An Omnilink has not long ago entered Birmingham, displaying 46.

Should be leaving with the 52 short to Perry Barr, now

Reports of buses in Beeches displaying 46 from relatives yesterday. Not a good show considering the scale of the change, I could forgive if it was a simple renumbering

Wonder what this means for Diamond now. With both the 50 and 16 having gone / going Platinum.
Do people still use the Diamond 50?
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.

Yes - some people favour travelling on single deckers, feel safer / less anti-social behaviour

Additionally, Diamond's Streetlites are similar internal spec to Platinum's internally & also offer free Wifi.

The 16 will not be like for like though once operated by Platinum's.

Yeah I guess that makes sense to be honest. Certainly with regards to the elderly for example.

I did wonder that as I see them on the 002 all the time but I couldn't see WiFi advertised on them.

It seems as though Redditch depot new Streetlites & Strata's are gaining the Wifi first, not sure if it will be extended to Tividale & Kidderminster new fleet?

Doh! Bit pointless Diamond advertising contactless when its been available on their buses longer than NXWM's.

Sure I saw a post somewhere about wifi on them?!?

It was me who said it changes from a WiFi symbol to "I'm new". I thought it was a WiFi symbol lol. It's contactless.

And I'm the one who did those icons for the chap who programs the blinds. It's the standard contactless symbol, but I do agree now that it looks a lot like WiFi too. I'd have used a different icon that shows a hand using a card, but it was too detailed to look good on a blind.

So Perry Barr gets bus fleet number 7000, is this the only time a *000 has ever happen?
