The reason when you're a new driver is probably because you've just been driving clapped out relics and the service buses are vastly different in terms of controls being a lot lighter etc.

Good point, even though I'm sure I'm not the only one who drove a Metrobus training vehicle and still think that is far superior to anything else I have driven since. They had character!

Oh definitely. I never got to drive a Metrobus, just start it and rev the tits off it to get the air levels up. But I did drive the B10Bs/Ls/O405N, and the first service bus I drove was a B7TL Plaxton. It was a lot lighter, the cab was more enclosed (as training buses are open), and it generally felt more car like. Once you're used to bus driving, type training should only be a quick guide on the controls, and that's what it was with us. They had YW6148 and AG2201 to type train us on the MMCs.

I know as a driver myself I was trained on a Metrobus and my first bus I was trained on was the Omnilink but I had got a Trident on a School Time 41 so at 13:55 I was type trained on it and then drove it out of the garage. I hadn't been type trained on the Volvo B7RLE Urban 56 plates until Friday and the Urban 2 is on Monday type training

Strange, as there are only two people do the type training at Walsall, and I was in their office talking to them a few times last week, so surprised I didn't see you, you would also know which one was doing your training if they had already done some.

So all your postings in the last 3 weeks have been lies where you have allegedly been riding and seeing buses?

AS far as I know our training school do not let people 'just work mornings' when training.

To settle this, because I really don't believe you, give me the initials, not full name of either of the Walsall Instructors who have type trained you

It's not the Training school the buses I can actually drive I drive the Mornings as I have 2 year old son and my girlfriend goes to work after I finish so I have to go and pick him up from Nursery.  I don't Type train until midday

Who did your type training today then? only initials to not identify him.

Same driver did that school run last Tuesday to Friday, and he was a driver at Walsall when I was there several years ago.

M.S the head of the The driving school God knows why he was training me but there you go
