4283, 4278, 4256, 4302, 4259, 4239, 4261 and 6029 on the 67 [off peak] today. I waited for 6029 for my journey back, thinking it may be 8 deckers and no bendies next time I go that way. 6029 was running well, with a few rattles from the area of the join.

Now you see why I was asking questions. Why have a dedicated fleet of buses for a route and not use them? If they're that bad, why don't NX just get rid......

Could they be getting painted blue and heading to Coventry!?
Favourite buses currently:
871, 1828, 4421, 4764, 6101, 6108, 6116, 6118, 6121, 6848, 6849
Least favourite buses currently:
4203, 4213, 4398, 4419

Why send a relative small specialist fleet to Coventry - Coventry don't have any Scanias at the minute and would not fit the idea of keeping standardising on the fleets at garages. Eg. YW has all Scanias for single deckers and then ADL E400s and Tridents for double decks (+ Presidents).

Because there is nowhere else for them to go and there is such a thing called type training you know :-P

Well in that case NX will probably try and transfer them to their airport operations - it's not just the type training either. Depots need the parts and maintenance trained on maintaining the fleet types - Coventry currently don't have any Scanias and have never had any of the Articulated versions. Coventry wouldn't have the parts at the minute or the necessary training, and the cost of doing this when the company is trying to standardise the fleets at certain garages, means the Scania Artics are very unlikely to go to CV.

6030 and 6031 on the 67 today. I counted 7 deckers on the route as well. I thought there were 8 vehicles off peak, presumably I was mistaken.

There is 1 extra bus now each on the 65, 67 and 115/914, with the work at Salford Circus

And 6029 did a morning & afternoon peak board. Those three seem to be out every week day, never breaking down, just PB don't seem to be able to get any others out apart from 6028 occasionally
