The Solos were still knocking about yesterday on the 654, saw one as I went through Perry Barr on 4697 on the 907. First ride on an Omnicity and on the 907; the only downside was the crippling heat! Also, there are some very strange noises coming out of 4697 when it accelerates and brakes, any ideas? It's a very noisy bus let's just say that

4847 visited WB this morning with an engineer driving. Presumed MOT.

4914 was today's visitor...

Pensnett 4808 is on the 65 today. Passed it at Streetly Road city bound about 4.45pm

I wonder if it is an extra for the tunnel closure, it seems a strange choice to be on loan from Pensnett

There are still 5 allocated, 3 are used daily on the 654 and one sometimes appears on the 28. I'm not sure how long they have left though, the Enviro200s were meant to start last Monday

Sure they won't withdraw them all on Monday, not with the way that the WB one have been breaking down

It seems odd for a garage to be having to loan a bus in the middle of the reduced Summer Holiday frequency period. Fair enough maybe when V Festival is on, but I can't see any obvious reason currently!

I also find it odd that a bus on loan would be used from so early in the morning (did Tony mention from 0500ish in the other thread)? I understand you may know about a vehicle shortage in advance, but you'd think you may keep it on a peak board as a last resort?

Also why PE! Surely the closer garages have a bus spare?!

Yes. It's on loan, as stated in the Noteworth Workings thread. :) Although, I think it may be on loan for the duration of the tunnel closure, not too sure about how long the loan is for...
