96 to be ran by Diamond buses from January 2022.
Could see a few Scanias withdrawn?

Edit - TFWM Service changes page has been updated to show Perry Barr 54 will be operated by Diamond Buses as well.

Find that hard to believe when they are still repainting the oldest ones into Crimson and have all been Euro 6'd...

Could see some more transferred out to replace older Deckers though! *yawn*

They could convert some of the older red & white ones yet to be repainted to training vehicles.

And what routes would you put the extra single decks on where they wouldn't be rammed. And if they have driver shortages surely the more double decks the better as they can carry more people.

What is this obsession with wanting to convert Scanias to training vehicles? Nothing is happening to any Scanias

How many buses does the 96 use? About four or five by the looks of it, so not a huge number.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Yes, but hopefully they don't start using those extra five on double decker routes like the X3/X4/X5 and 94/95.

Its better than no bus turning up, Perry Barr seem to put them on the same DD routes funnily enough, usually the 7, 16, 65/67 are the usual ones with the 33 getting them again. The 55/94 seem to start getting them now, another thing to hear you moan about...

The 95 now. They don't normally get them it had 1876 Monday, 7033 Saturday and another one that was taken off by 3PM on Friday last week. Thats it recently I think, before that there were none in ages.

To me it is and will be the 55! And yes I know its not normal but Perry Barr will send them anywhere apart from the X* and the 101 which are the last bets for them to go on...

Normally the 65/67's that see them the most out of all the double deck routes around Priory Queensway/Moor Street from what I see.

The 7 gets them a lot too, the last week the 16 has had at least one on all day boards...

CL

1832 has been fitted with LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) equipment which - as I'm led to believe - will be used to create 4D imaging/mapping of potholes, trends in parking, etc...

I believe there will be a few buses having them installed

Exactly. They've still got another four or five years of life in them.
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.
