Any idea which 54xx went to Walsall earlier today, as I spotted it at Bloxwich Church traffic lights around 10am?

I saw lots of B7RLES on the 15 yesterday up merry hill. When did they change to become single deck operated? Judging by loadings on them it seems deckers are definitely necessary for a SAFE journey

The 15 is double decker operated but had 3 b7rles on yesterday, more than likely because some E400s were either in repair, being painted or something else 4932, 4934, 4935 that weren't out yesterday

It's never been changed.  You'll often see B7s on there.   Would you rather have a smaller bus turn up, or no bus at all?

Bus allocations might change from 18/4/21 so might go back to full decker service

I'd rather have no bus at all. When it comes to single deckers being used instead of double deckers on busy routes then social distancing becomes impossible. Thankfully NX has mainly bought double-deckers in recent years which has reduced single deckers in the fleet.
I only hope that NX don't buy anymore single deckers for a while yet.

Social distancing is impossible in supermarkets, and people don't complain then.  From what i've seen, there's been no social distancing at all on some buses.

Supermarkets are completely different. The virus spreads easily if your next to the same person for more than 15 minutes, so there's more chance on that on a bus than a supermarket.

I agree. And even before social distancing and COVID, double deckers would have  allowed for a more comfortable journey than loads of passengers squashed into a single decker bus full and standing. So more double deckers in the fleet and the fact that the BC fleet is now fully double deck is a good thing I think.

The only problem with them used to be, that they seemed to in the past attract idiots who would smoke on the top deck etc. But I don't see that as much anymore these days.
