Coming into town on the cross city yesterday morning we were stopped outside New Street just after Duddeston and we were pretty much level with the Eastside Fire Service Headquarters. Parked in their car park was what looked like a Metrobus in full NXWM livery. Did my eyes deceive me?

B.C Driver

No, your eyes didnt decieve you, I believe it is 2577.

Gareth

It's actually 2605. Repainted last year at Walsall. I believe it has no engine or gearbox and is a static display, usually inside the building on a street scene.

andy

What's all that about then?

Gareth

There is an educational street scene inside 'safeside' used for schools etc. 2605 is part of that street scene.

Gareth

Here is the bus at Walsall just after repaint. Incorrectly titled as 2505.

I knew about it, where it was and the fact it didnt have an engine... which made me wonder why/how it's now outisde in the open?
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Yeah was 3118. The other one (3033) lives in Halesowen but hardly ever moves.

I go to Harborne all the time, but took Nath with me yesterday with the three aims of 1) doing his first B-Central B5LH, 2) doing his first AG bus, 3) his first President. Managed to satisfy all three goals ;)

As far as I am aware it is for hospital staff only, although I could be wrong. Remember talking about it on a Metrobus group on Facebook a while back.
