Some questions about reliability

I'm new to this forum, and I'm just a commuter who has some interest in buses. Not sure if this is right place to post.

I'm going to start my new commute soon, the commute is between East Birmingham and Warwick University.

However, there is slight problem, my commute plans are very tight, so tight that I have 1 minute timetabled connection with train at Airport at 07:40AM. Not sure if the 900 normally arrives early or late. I'm not even sure if the 900 also usually arrive before 07:45 for second train if I miss the first one.

How long does it take for any buses to go between Warwick Uni and Coventry rail station during peak times? As far as I have tried on this route, it's about 20 minutes in the 11 and 12, 10 minutes in the 87, 16 and W1C/A in off peak.

Lastly, I've been seeing some of old buses on the Coventry road replaced with new buses, when did this start to happen and will all double decker buses on Coventry road replaced with new ones?

The 900 is usually very punctual, unless there be an event at the NEC.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Possibility for you (as 1 minute to get from the bus to the platform at international is never going to work). Get the 07:45, get off at Tile Hill, you've got 10 minutes to catch the 360A, gets you to University at half 8
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

You could get a Chiltern Railways service at Birmingham Moor Street which would take you to Warwick, I'm not sure how far away the station is to the University though

I've never thought of it, thanks. Checked it on timetable it arrives at 8:16 actually and certainly this sounds a good route. Also, it looks like I also can use 18A to Cannon Park shopping centre as a backup.

One thing I've noticed is that in NXWM's 18A timetable, in early first 4 journeys have Tile Hill station times omitted, does it mean they're not stopping at there?

Yes
Which means Mon-Fri if we looking same timetable first from tile hill is 8:47
About 1.3 mile walk to where it starts

You could get the train to Berkswell then the 87 to Kirby Corner, then walk from there. 87 is timed to connect with trains from Brum.

Or the train to Canley and change for an 11 or 12 to Warwick University

For clarification, is where the bus begins its service?

Sounds good but no, it doesn't arrive at the university at times I need.

I thought 11/12 doesn't go to Canley?

It's a 5 minute walk from Canley train station to the 11/12 stop, if you use the exit on Platform 2
