Will NX operate it as the X56 or incorperate it into another service like the Evening and Sunday 56A is the 935A?

X56 is now registered on VOSA (it appears to be the same route as currently).

Sadly, no other Staffordshire routes are registered.

Besides timetable changes, the only route showing as a 'route change' from todays registrations is the 28.

Which 28? NX Perry Barr 28?

Yes sorry. The 22 in Birmingham, is also displaying a route change as well from that date.

That's probably the 22 returning to its original route once the tunnels works are completed.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Is the 22 route changing for the tunnels then? I wasn't aware of that, signs on the buses only refer to minor bus stop changes.

The only change is that it isn't going to serve Town Hall (Stops PC1 & PC2). Nearest is  GC1 on Great Charles Queensway or stops in Broad Street.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Why would the 22 change route for the tunnel closures?

Sorry, I can't find it now, but I was sure I saw an article on the Network West Midlands website that several other routes (including the 22 and 23) would also have route changes in the city centre due to tunnels closures.

2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood

The X56 is new route route I hinted at turning off at the Scott Arms. It is to be integrated into the X51 as far as the Scott Arms and will then turn right there to head back to its current route. NXWM are also increasing the number of journies with two one way and three the other instead of the current one each way

I hope these are as well as, rather than in place of journeys through to Walsall. I assume it will follow the 46 route from Scott Arms (so that it can serve the Scott Arms bus stop), but wonder whether it will be yet another service through Pheasey or return to it's normal route via Barr Beacon & Foley Arms?

Yes they are additional to the normal X51 journies being squeezed out of current running board using vehicles normally running dead between school and service work
