Buses on the 70 Today

4170, 4171, 4182, 4185, 4188, 4326, 4617, 4624 (70E), 4634

Also 4148 is on the 900 and 4367 is on the 957 today :D

Do you know what was on the 72E? ;)

The 72E is operated by AG and using B7's :)

Not sure if this is a silly question however how do these buses turn around now since the little slip road was filled in (and still serve the heathland avenue stop on the other side). I only as this because the 94 when they have short journey to castle brom the term at the Clock Garage which makes sense.

All the way out of service down the bradford road past the bardford arms, turns left onto Chester Road just before the shopping centre; through the Green via Chester Road and down Hall Road. Seems like a lot of wasted mileage over the course of a day/ week bla bla. Wouldn't it be easier to just turn at Clock Garage or do the regulators have rules about buses staying too long at bus stops etc.

14 Branded 4167 today being towed up Kings Heath High Street on a Mansfield Lorry.

The proposed 957W to Jaguar Land Rover actually runs as 957E. Didn't know the 957 ran anywere by Jaguar

It goes right past the one entrance to Jaguar/Land Rover on Lode Lane

That just shows how much attention I pay when out an about. Never noticed it

Anyone know if there have been changes to or mergers of the Harborne and Weoley Castle rotas at BC? Noticed a few 22/23 drivers driving the 24 or 29 this week and one or two vice versa.

Could just be covering for holidays with it being school half term I suppose.

Merged temporarily for 3months test period.

Nice spot there Mike.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

What's the 'new' rota called LS? Harborne would make sense as all the services go there.

I guess Weoley Castle dates back to the days of the 21/29 and before the 24 was added. 24 and Weoley Castle just don't go together for me.

2128, 2145 and 2150 on 22/23 tonight. No sign of any deckers. Looks like the 22/23 has followed in the 'footsteps' of the 24.

I really don't see why, unless they do journeys on the 29? The Bristol and Pershore are better candidates for single deck night conversion due to the volume of "undesirables" of a night - in addition it should cut the fraud as the scum have nowhere to run! Gotta love the single deckers. I've gotten a hatred for deckers at the moment due to the abuse of the upper saloon.

You could understand the B7RLE also being more fuel efficient against standard double deckers, but obviously not against the hybrids on the 22/23

Any reason why have seen another 70 displaying  90 to Chelmsley Wood, this evening?  Is this to do with the programming of the blinds, just curious?

Well that's right Winstonian, so I can only expect that the 'single decker boards' do a trip on the 29. Interestingly, there is a 22/xx board only on the 29. No Harborne work at all..

I was in the car but the front displayed 90 to C wood instead of 70 E and the side had 90 to C wood. Is that the driver more likely then?
