Heard long blast on the horn, emergency brake application, then a noise like a shopping trolley under the train. Not nice, then followed by not moving for 102 minutes

That's not very nice at all. What did crew and train driver announce on PAs? You got to feel for the driver the most as he was aware what was going to happen, and to see it happen head on must be horrific!

Apparently National express had 40,000 Complaints about the 29 being taken off so they are going to be reinstating it back in February. Doubt it will happen due to the lack of platinums though.

I doubt it as well, I love to know where they got 40, 000 people from!

That doesn't say whether they are complaints from 40, 000 individual people, so it could just be 40, 000 complaints from the same group of people complaigning over and over again over the last 5 months? It, could always be they've got complaints from people who never/irregularly use the bus as well?

Regarding, the lack of platinums. Could it not just be operated from YW using Omnilinks as the 27 presently is, why does it have to specifically be platinums? Or even Tridents from BC or YW?

BC still has spare B7RLE's that aren't really all allocated to a specific route & often stray.

I've just noticed this, according to the NXWM on their facebook page, "there are no plans to re-introduce the service".
