It was heading out of town and up Harborne Hill not in service at around 8.05 so presumably on its way to take up service.

I noticed 4468 in city centre yesterday afternoon. I also noticed it's perfectly readable 97 branding on the Windows despite it being removed. It's the one thing that lets down its appearance.

Spares do make it out on the 29, weekdays - never seen a Platinum on the 24, though - but the 24/29 interwork on Sundays, don't they?

Yes the 24/29 interwork on sundays @clayderman. That's why you see hybrids on the 29 on a Sunday.

Its usually the same board that comes out in the afternoon. The 24/9 interwork at night too. So if you saw it then, it was probably a change bus, and yes noteworthy as it won't be the same running board that regulary sees a Platinum.
