What were the reasons for the removal of the 8A/8C from Momentum Road in Ladywood, which served it before the 10H did @Tony?Along certain sections of the route.
Think Claribel 168 has hail and ride sections in the Sutton area, where there are no bus stops present.
It was traffic issues that affected the reliability of the route. It was also changed in Hockley and Aston as well for the same reason.

Is there no demand for some form of return journey though?
As surely the workers have to come back in the evening as well? Just seems strange that in School Holidays they run it in one direction but not the other?

Are you asking about the 70? Perhaps the workers catch the X70 on the return journey?  :)

I think you mean Monument Road.  ;)

The 8A/C were rerouted due to Hagley Road congestion

10H has been removed from the list of services on the registration, which are usually listed between the brackets such as on the Sutton registration 902 (X4, X5, X3).
Now says (10, 10S, 25), when the 10H was listed there previously.

So that suggests the 10H might be going? And it would make sense as usage is very low on this service.

It says on your link:

    Service number.        10, 10H, 10S, 10, 10S, 25

Perhaps we need to take a step back and wait for official press release, as people sometimes read far too much into these registration changes.

Yes I was asking why on non school days it runs via Ward End as the 70.
If they can get the X70 on the return journey, then why doesn't this run as an X70 on non school days. Otherwise its strange that there is no return journey on the 70.
Presumably they all would have to get off and change for the 94 coming back.

Its shown as 10, 10H, 10S (10, 10S, 25) when you search for the registration PD0001111/790 here.

https://www.vehicle-operator-licensing.service.gov.uk/search/bus/search/?text%5Bsearch%5D=PD0001111/790&filter%5BtrafficArea%5D=West%20Midlands&filter%5BbusRegStatus%5D=Variation&search=PD0001111/790&searchBy=&security=58fff1b3a9b57fe8ada91c458cffe4eb-510570e38e3559885f364fd02dce0e83

Similarly to how the X20 registration is shown as 98 (X20), Sutton registration is shown as 902 (X4, X3, X5) and Harborne Regiration is shown as 22 (23, 24). The service numbers show in the brackets.

Unless the registration is wrong.

Thanks for the info. Did many people use it there, when the 8A/8C served Monument Road?

Can't really say I never used the 8A/C around Monument Road. It probably did. If it wasn't for the congestion, we may still see the 8A/C going down Monument Road.

Going back a decade or so now, it was certainly used by people going to offices around the Hagley Road.

RobQuinton

The Monument Road stop was convenient for people interchanging between Hagley Rd buses and the 8 towards Hockley. Having had the misfortune to have spent the past 26 years commuting from Quinton/Bearwood etc into town the traffic lights at the Plough & Harrow disproportionately favour motorists travelling from the Hockley direction towards the Five Ways roundabout. This then creates excessive delays to traffic along Hagley Road towards Monument Road.

To be honest, I don't know as I don't use the 70 or X70 myself. Perhaps you could undertake a passenger survey and ask people yourself?

You're assuming that people who catch the 70 are travelling to/from Ward End. Maybe they actually continue on to the city centre? In which case it would make no difference if it was a 70 or X70 that turned up.

Noticed a new Uni Hop ticket (with ID)  has now been introduced on the 23/24.
Similar to the one on the Uni and Bristol Road corridors.

Clearly need to update their statement about the X20/X21/X22.
"These services run up to every 20 minutes during peak times and offer a limited stop service between Vincent Drive (University station) and the city centre. "

Should say they run up to every 6 minutes between University Sation (for the QE)/University North Gate and City Centre.

https://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/information/useful-information/the-hop

As well as this:
"Hop on the 61 or 63 to uni / QE Hospital". 61/63 don't go to the QE, they go to Bournbrook.
