Could be single track roads :D

I also saw 1650 on the 2

All 2xxx series volvos are the same, silent plastic crap, although i have been told in vague detail that you can get a kickdown noise from them, some sort of button in the cab but thats all i was told and this individual isnt too reliable so

Surely the fact that they are quiet is a positive thing. I like the new B7RLEs they seem a well put together bus, like most Volvo / Wright products. Not sure why they get such a bad press from some.

Yes i do like Volvo B7RLE's and rode one on the 126 this afternoon. Matt thinks there is a difference between PE and WN B7RLE's but i can't tell any difference between them.

Im not saying theyre not ok for what they are but i think you can tell im an enthusiast that doesnt like new stuff

I think the speed difference is that WNs routes are more stop start where as some PN routes require abit more umph due to the hilly terrain of the area

Ok I understand where you're coming from. I guess I'm just getting old and like the quiet life these days.

477* - PB94 - Fairly unusual

I saw 4177 today, twice. I saw it first changing destinations from City to Coften Hackett, then amongst waiting for a bus, i saw it again, on the 45 to Longbridge

Today,

4801 - 276
1892 - 39
4021 - 255
1650 - 2
2083 - 243/4

5510 replaced 4021 on the 255 at Wolverhampton around 17:30. Rode it on the full 255 this evening, leaving Wolverhampton around 17:35 and arriving at Merry Hill about 18:55. Ridiculous to have a B5 going along all those narrow country lanes!

Why is it ridiculous? No different to a Spectra.

Because a B5 is worth at least 30 times as much as a Spectra/Trident!

It's difficult to explain, but the idea of seeing a brand new double decker hybrid bus in service on roads like those is very strange to me.

5513 on 126 late this evening left Dudley towards Wolverhampton at 23:42

4199 was on the 140 two nights ago
New enviro on the 23 earlier
ALX400 on the 33 earlier too :)

Just a sidenote: rode my first BC hybrids on the 24 the other day visiting the bf in Harborne, got a B5 on the way there, E400H on the way back and I must say, they're very smart buses :)

They are all roughly the same height, plus putting a spectra out on it with a chance of breaking down. Better of with a hybrid.

Either way it is fair to say there is no Unusual workings at WN the only ones that must happen are B7's on the 6 and 10 as they require those vehicles.

Ashley 4569

If you want narrow winding country roads and double deckers i recommend a stagecoach to stagecoach west turf

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.
