Ahh fair enough it was last summer when I had it too, the only other trident I have known do that is 4191 when at YW, unlike the Voith B7s it seems uncommon in tridents :(

Basically when it is supposed to go into neutral but it doesn't it just sort of loops in and out of gear over and over like this . Baring in mind that's an awful video purely for reference. There may be a more technical name than "looping" but I wouldn't know!

Ahh, yes I know what you mean now. Idle Gear isn't selected. The B7TL ALX400's had that issue regularly.
