One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I would have really loved to have seen it run out of BC on the 900 or 22/3/4

Great pic Nathan. It looks weird seeing it on a Yardley Wood route, but I can get used to it

It will be nice to see Yardley Wood running 'Toothpaste', apart from 1420 and 4053 for a day, also 4042 for the one day as well

Ashley

If my camera wasn't so annoying, i would have got a shot of 4726 and 4731 passing each other in kings heath on the 35 this afternoon

It's ruddy fantastic seeing YW operating Toothpaste livery! Even if it won't last for more than 6 months, although saying that there's still some vinyl in need of repainting so hopefully this will delay any Enviro repaints :P

On a lighter note 4725 today had a notice across the drivers door telling people to collect tickets from the ticket machine opposite the stairs, sadly nobody bothered to read it and one lady even stood holding her hand out where the ticket machine usually is, maybe in the hope one would materialise out of thin air?

I hope that one or two of those Enviros stray on to the 76; I prefer them greatly to the the ALX400 Tridents.

Many people using the Sutton Lines have been caught out by that, me included the once!

It's about time the ticket machine was fitted in the correct location on those buses

I personally think as and when they go in for repaint/refurbishment it might be something that is dealt with.

Nathan4775

Why are the ticket machines behind the two front seats ? I only ever seen it one bus
