There was at least one 301/302 branded B7RLE on the WA 11/13 again earlier, it seems to happen on a near-daily basis to be honest.

Are you sure? I see the 52 all the time as they pass my house and the only 28 bus on it was 1865.

Could've sworn it. Unless I am mental, and I'm mistaking it for a 28 which I saw turn at Great Barr; but I'm sure I saw it further down the road than Scott Arms

It would be a 28 then doing the u-turn in Scott Arms. The 52/A turn right onto Beeches Road which is before Scott Arms. So yes it was a 28.
