I get the point though - as route branding is one of the core elements of the TfWM quality partnership, route branded buses appearing on the wrong routes is surely worse than no branding at all. Agreed an incorrectly branded bus is better than no bus at all - but unless there's some specific issue like a group of buses off the road, it is surely a matter of disciplined operation and joined up thinking - possibly easier said than done when you've got 200 odd buses to allocate (WN example).

on the other hand putting route branded vehicles on other routes enables the company to advertise those other routes, thus meaning that other people would use them!
