maybe to save the new buses getting vandalised in the evenings?

5512 was reported broken down at midday in Tettenhall Wood, the Merc could have been the replacement?

I would've thought they'd send a Trident/Spectra out to replace it, they should have 9 more spare than usual

5512 was reported broken down at midday in Tettenhall Wood, the Merc could have been the replacement?

You saying that Winston, i saw a driver struggling with a Dudley bound hybrid around 10:45 just outside Sedgley (driver seen walking round vehicle looking underneath), missed the number, but know it was an unbranded one, a vehicle then seen returning on a 1E to Wolverhampton again unbranded. maybe it went empty to Tettenhall and broke down there. Just a thought!

1543 has already moved to Pensnett plus possibly 1545? That may mean WN are down to 7 additional buses, plus at least 5 x Spectra's have been appearing on unusual workings such as the 27 & 28

1543 has already moved to Pensnett plus possibly 1545? That may mean WN are down to 7 additional buses, plus at least 5 x Spectra's have been appearing on usual workings such as the 27 & 28

That should still leave at least 4 Tridents spare though. Perhaps there were some non-starters due to the weather, Mercs don't seem to have as many problems starting in very cold temperatures

Volvo Alexanders appear on the 82/87 all the time so not an unusual working at all!

Although WB isn't really my home turf, I spend a lot of time around Dudley and I very rarely if ever see an ALX400 B7 on the 87. There are hundreds of Gemini photos on the 82/87 on Flickr too yet I can't find any photos of ALX400s on there other than my own.

Although WB isn't really my home turf, I spend a lot of time around Dudley and I very rarely if ever see an ALX400 B7 on the 87. There are hundreds of Gemini photos on the 82/87 on Flickr too yet I can't find any photos of ALX400s on there other than my own.

They do seem to have been on there a lot more recently, perhaps because the Geminis are being branded?

ALX400/B7TLs on the 82/87 aren't rare, I usually see 1 on the 87 everyday, probably covering a Gemini
