Yes a great idea anyone have a simple route as just using the A5 would be a waste who would catch it apart from sheep/cattle you need people along the route not just at each end, but also it to be a fast link.

There was a link between Cannock and Telford - it was the X12 and 12/72. Only operated on Saturday, by Cannock garage, and it is now scrapped.
This is a personal appeal... For Pete's Sake just save the #!@?$&% Scania's - don't let them follow the Dennis Falcons!

it was a flop cos it took 90 minutes and went a horrendous route and the express version X12 only went as far as penkridge

That's the problem with trying to operate routes like that - Two choices
1) Round the houses to where people live and might use the route, but discouraging through traffic
2) Direct through empty fields with not enough through traffic to cover costs

Bob

How about Cannock, Longford/Or Cheslyn Hay, Featherstone ( possibly following the 70 route), M54 then Telford? Pretty decent catchment area?

In addition, they'd used the 51-reg Darts a couple of times for the route. 90 minutes on Urban90 seats isn't good, adding to the fact of that it's a 51-reg Dart from CANNOCK!

Yep they were awful to travel on
Not that I've been on one, but if the 52-plate MPDs are bad, just think how bad the ones that are a year older than them are!
