Didn't replace a broken streetlite at all.

A ex Central bus is used on the S1, usually 30967 at the moment. If one is not available then a streetlite is normally used.

DF Streetlites are common on the 30s now due to the Emissions in Solihull; I arranged for a Euro4+ to
Be allocated from July, along side 20884, in order to ensure we are compliant before the change.

It is quiet stupid. The full size singles struggle on the turns that only a big Dart can do or 30638/9. It doesn't even need a bugger bus than a LWB Dart or LWB Solo.

NXWM used to operate full length buses at one point when they operated the route many years ago as the 196 (Volvo B10BLE's) and Central Buses always used full size vehicles - neither seemed to struggle to do turns then. From what I have seen, there are occasional journeys which require a full size vehicle - mainly for school traffic.

You are right in holidays a SWB vehicle is probably sufficient but that would depend upon vehicle availability.

Central Buses did use the Tridents a few times. But yes it could run easily with an SWB bus during holidays.

21108 - 530 - I'm told this produces Solos most nights now.

Not sure if there's a fault with that one, but not many people seem to realise that there's a power on/off switch for the Centrad unit on the dashboard, and just assume it's not working.
