Tividale must be feeling brave letting that bus be on it it's certainly a come up from when my mate used to drive the 71 when it was originally at Long Acre he used to have to put up with either 20252 or 20263 (amongst other Darts) as Long Acre would never allow him to take a 'decent' bus (for example 30406, 30952) out due to the vandalism of buses that occurs on that route (usually at night)

When it was at Long Arce they would mostly put solos on there plus the occasional B7RLE and the B7RLE was on there most nights in the last few months it would usually be 30509.
Never experienced anything on that route myself.

Yes @Nathan but that's in the day time I'm not saying vandalism does't happen in the day I'm just going by the expieriences my mate had when he used to drive it at night

Back in the day when Pete's had the late night contract there were frequent incidents of trouble and vandalism. Never did the route myself, the 6 weekday late night buses all came off the 401 / 402 with regular drivers. I remember a time when a section of the route around Chelmsley Wood / Smiths Wood was missed out and I think somebody funded security guards on the buses to restore the route.

30850 was parked up near the Fox And Goose were the 25 turns round on the Washwood Heath Road this evening
about 20 minutes later it drove off displaying 72
I presume it went to start the 72 at Clock Garage
