Diamond Bus - Unusual Workings

Juat seen a Redditch Streetlite on Comberton Hill, Kidderminster displaying "Sorry, I'm Not In Service" vehicle in question was (30163, BV63 OFO) no idea why its in KD for as it isn't a Sunday!

Diamond have a lack of full size buses and very few full length Darts @ Tividale even more so now the 6 x 51 plate Cadets have been sold. 811 was waiting to take up service in Halesowen at around 9.30am on an 002. 30832 was on the 4H receiving attention from an engineer with passengers still on board. 30941 was also on the 4H. I had a ride past Tividale depot Tuesday and there didn't appear to be anything spare parked in the depot other than what the engineers were working on

I saw 806 on the 002 around 4.30pm @ Lutley Oak Tuesday heading for Merry Hill

I was driving it that day yes, it would have been the 1642 from Merry Hill. I believe it was 30408 the day you asked. Sorry it's took ages to reply, I'm on holiday in Spain at the moment and it's the first time I've checked the forum for ages.

I would prefer them to use a reasonable bus not a mpd for one of the most busiest route they operate

You keep using that response, but it's clear by the number of MPD's frequently appearing on unsuitable routes all day, that there simply aren't enough full size single deckers & no spares.What will happen when the 302 starts? if that becomes a' value' route & uses B7RLE, it will just be at the expense on another route & exaggerate the problem further.

I also don't agree with the extract below from the Chairman's statement in Rotala's half year report in relation to Diamond:

In the short to medium term we see a low requirement for replacement vehicles: the fleet is in good condition, well matched to the demands being placed upon it.

The 4H's last Wed/Thurs & the previous Sat seem to be solid B7RLE/Wright (13 plate), I did see a Dart on there in WB on there last Tue morning S397HVV
