National Express Coventry - Unusual Workings

4687 on the 23 is not unusual.

It is because main allocation is tridents and for Sundays it's trident/B7RLE allocation

I'm not an expert at CV's allocation but from what i can gather posted on here and what i saw from a previous trip to Coventry the 23 appears to have other double deck types such as Gemini's.

Nathan Gemini's tend to be used indiscriminately with ALX Tridents nowadays. 4692 is on 23 today.

Double deckers get used on the 16 frequently, especially at peak times.
And the 4 does have double deckers but less often. EDIT: Trident on 4 because a Citaro's being allocated to the 21 for various reasons.
