Just seen the plans on express & star website to close parts of wolverhampton to traffic and straight away I thought they were stupid. How is closing princess street to traffic going to make people want to go to wolverhampton when it means that some people have to walk even further for the bus station. Plus it means even more route changes with the 59, 68, 89, 125, 558, 560.

I like it other than Princess Street - which I presume they've just reported wrong; it sounds like they're just making it bus-only as the photos clearly show a bus stop where the current one is outside Betfred. The Queen Street works will make it much easier to walk to the bus station.

Making Lichfield Street one way will mean buses have to move but the street just does not work in it's current form, it is a major bottleneck, and this is much needed.
My local's the 3 and 63.
Casual bus user. Doesn't know much other than some buses look nicer than others.

There are booklets detailing the proposals in the Enquiry Office at Wolverhampton Bus Station.

It would screw up the 70 (interworked with 560 and 76) as well maybe more Arriva buses will actually use the bus station for things such as being able to catch another bus to somewhere else or even the train (Arriva trains do serve there) since the new station and the review buses are a joke in Wolves by the art gallery is just a mass of buses so much for making travel eaisier well done centro twats.

Well at least another street for taxi's to 'clog up' then maybe on the good side they will cease the pathetic ridiculous parking carry on on Victoria Street!
No-one takes a blind bit of notice of the current restrictions in place! A contender for the most flouted must be the Fisher Street pedestrian zone in Dudley going into the bus station

As a matter of interest, the following is an extract from a Centro report.

QuoteIn advance of the coming year Centro has been developing and continuing to work in partnership to deliver a further programme of enhancements, improvements and transformation to parts of the bus network through TBT during 2013/14. Some of the key elements being delivered and planned for the coming year are;

Wolverhampton and Coventry City Centre Infrastructure including Way Finding – developing World-class systems for way-finding and infrastructure for Coventry and Wolverhampton City Centres in partnership with Coventry and Wolverhampton City Councils and bus operators building on the style and technology developed for Birmingham City Centre.
