4390 and 4393 both at Yardley Wood now.

4390 on 2/3 and 4393 on 76

Whoa, I had 4390 on the 900 only on Monday! Lucky I had it when I did!

BV52s are always a welcome addition to YW ;)

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I agree, don't see why YW gets the less old Tridents whilst one of the premier garages BC gets lumbered with the 41**s, although having said that I must say I do prefer most Y-reg Tridents to the 52's

I'll compromise then, BC can have them back if they take over the 35 from YW ;)

Driving wise the 52's win hands down. The 41's are really shabby. 4202 is the only decent one in my opinion. Even the add blue 41's are crap.

Makes sense, what's the PVR for the 35?  ;D

I think It's about 11 but don't quote me on that! One day I'll work it out properly ;)

I've always preferred the BV52s to the Y reg they are easily the best batch of Tridents NXWM have!

We could fit that in easily  ;)

They were the best, the BV52's, until the 46**'s got refurbed properly. Really good the 43's were , still are the best.

They're better then all these new buses. I bet we'll be saying about the E400 once they get phased out like the Metros vs. Trident, Trident vs. E400, E400 vs. SuperMega Bus (or w/e it will be in 20 years time lol)

Sounds like a plan! In fairness it sounds logical as the 35 crosses over the 45 route just before Hawkesley!

They are, I still haven't been on a refurbed 46** yet so can't judge them, only one I've done is Julie which seemed sluggish!

Yeah, all new engined buses now are sluggish on the pull away. Dont know why.

Maybe the 35 could come to BC... Just a serious thought. And we'll have the 50 back aswell whlist we're here lol

I suppose we should be grateful they stopped with the new engines when they did in that case!
As long as the BV52s went with it I'd be happy, it Would certainly throw some variety up seeing BC's fleet in Kings Heath once more :P

No chance, the idea was to keep the 52's off the 35 ;)

Indeed! Always was a pleasure seeing the old 42XX's on the 50 with Lynx's on the 27/35 with MkIIA's on the 11 with the odd Trident scattered over the High Street. Good times.

Anyway,

Anyone got any idea where 4140 is? Struggling to find it. Is it at Walsall for obviousness?

The best Voiths are the BU04's at Wolverhampton, if it's speed/performance that you judge by. The best ZF's are of course the 54's and selected 53's
