PCS did manage to fit a 6 cylinder engine (not euro 6) during its time at Wootton Bassett along with removing the hybrid bits. You cannot fit a euro 6 engine in a standard E400, that is why MMCs have those extended rear ends to fit the larger Euro 6 engine. It was towed to EYMS about a month ago, they reckon 4-6 weeks to obtain all the parts required to finish the conversion, then around 2 weeks labour.

It is different to all the others because of the 6cyl engine. All other conversions for all operators done by EYMS have retained the original 4cyl engine. This means fitting the ZF gearbox is going to be very tight and the bus should be more powerful than 5402/5412. It will then have a trap fitted at Graysons to make it euro 6

Oh! I thought you said PCS hadn't done anything with it during it's long spell there.
