Did one or two of these finish at Wolverhampton?

You might have seen them on the old 527 / 528 Circular routes, as Walsall ran certain Wolverhampton routes for a period of time.

As ever, a certain Mark Fitchew set of blogs will provide the answer!

Some operated in as withdrawn condition (no fleetnames etc) in Wolverhampton. There are photos on Flickr and I think videos on You Tube where they feature. IIRC several Fleetlines (some standard ones as well) were resurrected to cover a vehicle shortage.

Quote from: Mayfield on September 06, 2024, 07:21:54 PMI think NX must be commended on keeping these buses going so long and also when you do retire them other operators want to buy them for further use.
I've said this many times - the NX bashers seem to underestimate the talents of NX engineers to maintain these vehicles to such a high standard that, as you say, allows them a new life as second hand buses with other operators.

Autofare 3 - the ticket that laughs in the face of contactless!

This is testament to the point you made. These buses are 21 years old and being sold onto other companies. They really have done an outstanding job maintaining the Geminis
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A

Is 1835 a transfer or loan?

engine packed up apparently and they arent willing to repair it, so they either want someone ot buy it for scrap or to repair themselves.
