1690 1691 1692 from WN to training school
277,281,292,293,295,296,299 withdrawn
706,707 withdrawn

12 b6's in from BC and PN

I assume that B6's are able to fit round all the routes that are Solo operated then? I'm sure this has been checked!?

The steering lock on some b6s are quite poor, so I doubt they been checked to fit, that being said you can theoretically get them anywhere you can get a solo owing to the fact they are conventional buses i.e. they have the wheels behind the driver rather than in front.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

We don't want the B6LE in Wolverhampton!

This is likely to mean that the Excels all get withdrawn and replaced by more of these 'things'.

Are the 7 Solos at PB also being replaced?
And, where has this information come from?

It has come from the person who started this thread - and he should know!

My thoughts exactly.  :-\
I'd rather have the Solos and Excels than them.
I'm really not a fan of the B6s and don't get me started on the legroom of the seats near the back.  >:(
We'll get rid of your bus to Wolves and replace it with one to Walsall instead.......... Oh the joy of a Network Review. -_-

The only thing I don't get is why V-reg Mercs with wheelchair ramps are going in to the training fleet, why not keep those 3 in service and withdraw another 3 Excels, or transfer those 3 to Pensnett/West Bromwich and use 3 x 15--/early 16-- series non Diptac compliant TWM liveried Mercs.

Or better still take 3 from reserve. I don't see the point of retaining just 5 x Excels.

WN could have used it as an opportunity to reduce the number of vehicle types allocated by one

Ashley

The remaining Excels were refurbished a couple of years back which could have something to do with it, but B6LE's at WN. Didn't see that coming but yay they'll be on one of my local routes

The Excels were only repainted / re-trimmed as far as I'm aware,

Ashley

Thats what I meant just a re trim and repaint, 711s interior was untouched, 684 they put a few new seats in, didnt stop them all rattling like mad, B6s aren't as bad for rattles, no the legroom isn't great and no they're not great but if they can last not far off a lifetime of negotiating the 222 then WN routes for a year or so should be fairly easy work

Agreed the 222 is a very very tough route for all sorts of reasons and like you say some of the B6's have practically been on the 222 daily for nearly 16 years would like to see the new Enviros coming anywhere near that so in my opinion WN should be rejoicing to get them over Excels and Solo's and I'm an Optate fan

4147 is still at YW, I missed 4181 off the October changes. It is at Central.
Looks like a chain is waiting to still happen 4041 BC-AG; 4635 AG-WB; 4092 WB-YW; 4147 YW-BC

I take it 4041 is still at BC as 4147 is still at YW today on the 35.

Nathan4775

When is 4041 being transferred, because I really need to get a picture of it ?

4147 Didnt last long on the 35 though, I had it home right before it was taken off with a fault :P
4041 will be transferred when they are ready to transfer the rest of the buses in the chain! (Although I haven't seen it for ages now at BC or any depot)
