Mayfield

I'm very sceptical about these 130 new buses starting to be delivered later this year, it all seems to be top secret, surely the manufacturer would have announced an order of this size by now.

Secrecy does not always mean conspiracy. It is possible that they are waiting for an example vehicle to make a big splash in a PR announcement.

Especially should they be the 130 WMCA ZEBRA ones and the mayor can be photographed behind the wheel (sarcasm)

We need a few single deckers for the 20B and 24/25 (think the 25 goes under a low bridge), unless they're rerouted to accommodate deckers, although nothing's stopping all other routes from using deckers.

Rugby's are going and the 20B will be going back to terminating at the old terminus. Cov will be a fully deckered garage

What a pathetic solution, isn't the 25 the only problem with BYDs? The 85 has then regularly

There's an 11' 6" bridge on the route out of Birdinbury towards Rugby.

There's a 12' 9" bridge on Woodshires Road just after the old Oban Road terminus.

The Rugby routes are tendered.

Wow interesting, I honestly would love to see that.

Perhaps unsurprising that there was no bid for the renewal of the services.

It's a 'solution', hardly a pathetic one.

Why should NX go to the trouble of investing in a handful of electric single decks, just to be used on a tendered contract which presumably doesn't make much money?

If you don't have any routes that pass under low bridges, then you don't need single-deck vehicles.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to QE Hospital | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Not complaining for Electroliners, they seem to be a very popular choice

having been on a couple electroliners alongside a couple integral 400EVs and BZLs

as far as double decks go, the electroliners have seemed to be the best ones ive been on in my opinion, especially with build quality & reliability which seems to be a large topic in the industry these days.
