Quote"Operational reasons"

In the case of the 5 and the 76, driver changeover on the 5 happens at Sarehole Mill, drivers travel to/from the garage on the 11A/C which is a short journey.

And on the 76, changeovers happen at Haunch Lane, from where it's a short walk or hop on the 18 back to garage.

Don't forget that West Brom operate a route all the way to Bromsgrove  , but through clever interworking with the 48, drivers change over at West Bromwich bus station.
My guess was that with AG gaining the X2 not too long, that it was going to interwork with the 5 as I thought they had the same frequency, until I heard the 5 was every 30 minutes!

Maybe they'll do relief/changeovers at The Swan (Yardley)

This is a question for people who have rode the EX CV Geminis but does anyone think they sound really really nice?

I'm on 4675 and the ZF in this sounds really nice. Very good for a (nearly) 21 year old bus!

6131 has got the emirates wrap, I'd expected the recently debranded e400mmcs to get the wrap, but guess not!

How is 6141? Last time I saw her, it was by Moseley golf club, and she had suffered a bump to the front after a collision with a car.

I didn't realise AG picked up the X2 school route too

Makes sense as it's on a X2 running board.

What garage is the 877 at now? Bus times says AG, has it moved over as well with the X2?
Looks like the 889 has come back to BC in return.
Local Routes

Seems like they be also significantly reduced deckers on the 4/4A too. Maybe this is for the X2? Can't wait for crowded journeys again.

AG hasn't had any extra single decks, so there's the same amount in the garage doing the same amount of running boards on the same routes.

1, 17 & 73 are all single deck with the others on the 4.

So what could potentially be done to fix overcrowding on this route? More double deckers? The frequency is pretty good already but isn't it running a lower frequency during this period?

I was hoping for more transfers but unfortunately we didn't get any

I was thinking the same, I'd suspected they got 7534-7538 to go alongside operating the X2, bringing no change to other routes, I guess that's how it didn't go, we only got 6995 and 7

Which, like you said, isn't enough as the single deckers get full quickly on routes like the 4

Clearly the garage doesn't care, weither you make complaints, or make it aware online. I've said it many times on here and the response is "frequency is too high", the people who have this as their local have to put up with rammed buses, people with pushchairs / wheelchairs often get blocked because of people standing in the way. What could you possibly do then. Easy solution is decrease the frequency to roughly 8-10 minutes and make it double deckers
