Saw the scene of the accident myself when I went into Leicester yesterday morning.

The congestion on Burleys Way was bad enough without all the buses normally using Belgrave Gate being funneled through there and the surrounding streets.

Sadly I have to report another bus fire, this one being Arriva London hybrid HV76 of Palmers Green. It was running out of service on the North Circular Road returning home when its rear end was BBQ'd. Given its age it is safe to assume it will be withdrawn.
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.

And of course, people in the comments of posts on Facebook were all going, "It's an electric bus, it's an electric bus"... 🤦🏽

Considering electric buses are some of the most reliable buses, they clearly have no clue

Plenty were. I initially thought it was a diesel one, given reports initially suggested it was a 221 which Wood Green run.

Quote from: Mayfield on April 10, 2025, 06:57:48 PMHave you seen the report on route one about the women who tried to sue Stagecoach for personnel injuries, glad she lost.
Report on Routeone another claim against Stagecoach dismissed due to numerous discrepancies,
Sounds like another try on.

At about 07:30 this morning, I went past an Oxford Park and Ride bus branded OBC bus that had managed to beach itself (front tyres in the air) trying to do a u-turn out of the layby just before Little Milton on the a329.

The only service that uses that road normally is Carousel Buses' 116, and there was no school services today due to half-term so I don't know why the bus would have ventured up there.

Their closest bus is the 11 Oxford-Watlington but all their buses are shown to have tracked on-time and correct today.
