All vehicles were said last year set to be on the road by Spring 2025 as part of the DfT funded "Coventry Electric Bus City" scheme.

Anyone have more info when Rugby garage will be up and running? Also where are the single deck EV buses stored at the moment?

Stored at Corby. Isn't there a problem of some sort using the new buses in Nuneaton Bus Stn ?

Thks for the info.
So at the moment I guess Rugby garage is not yet ready? Must be costing someone some money having new buses parked up?

Hopefully Nuneaton bus station will get sorted. It's a pretty key interchange point but maybe there's a work around until it's fixed?

I don't have any inside knowledge, but I understand four Midlands (Rugby?) Yutongs are temporarily running for Stagecoach West Scotland until their intended garage is ready for electrics.

Thks and it does make sense to use them and not park them up.
Looking at bustimes there are 4 Yutong E12's at Mackinlay Place garage and are all seem to be working on the 4 Kilwinning /Ayr - Glasgow route this morning. No's 73053 - 753056.

To go back a bit, I'm not sure that Rugby is the issue, I believe it is some problem at Nuneaton.

Try looking in London as well. There's a couple of hundred down there.

Hear what you say about Nuneaton bus station but I'm not sure if Rugby garage buses use Nuneaton bus station? Can you help me understand the link between the bus station and Rugby garage? Thks.

There isn't any link. Any issue with Nuneaton bus station only affects the new vehicles going into Nuneaton garage.

My understanding is that Rugby garage are only having around 5 electric vehicles and these are just for the 86 (and Sunday 85A) as it is their only service that goes into Coventry.

So that needs just four or five charging points to be supplied, installed and commissioned before their EVs can be used there.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Thks. This was my thinking too. I guess Rugby garage also have to get their drivers & workshop staff trained which all takes time? You would think that SC would be publicising the Rugby EV intro date as soon as they can even if it is weeks/months away? They may have have a target date but could be keeping quiet?

Used on route 4, which links Glasgow to Kilmarnock.
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.

Didn't the Warwickshire council confirm these would operate the 4 in rugby?
