Sat upstairs, Legroom was decent, Lighting was good, wasn't sure what to expect of these StreetDecks, Engine was smooth apart from maybe a bit of a struggle maybe it was a car in front as we went up the Walsall Road Pleck Railway Bridge, No rattles, bit of Viberations when on idle. Not sure what transmission these are but It had a noise howl, whine almost like an old Volvo, Brakes were smooth, Staircase seems a bit narrow but overall the StreetDecks seem Very nice Buses, I could picture these being perfectly comfy on the Birmingham Routes.
Voith I believe @BlackCountryBusSpotter, have rode 3304 when still based at Pensnett on a 140 I believe nice buses TBH

I've been on one just before Christmas think it was 3303 and they are ok buses but you very rarely see 5 out in one day. Always one off road for a few months then once that comes back in service, guaranteed another will be off road. There's days when they can't complete a running board because of a problem.

All of the BU07s are probably the best Trident E400s I've ever been on. Love them to bits and definitely think they are the best buses in NXWMs Fleet right now.

A belated Diamond Bus review from Friday 17 January at 12.44hrs........

Having dropped my Dad's car back to him in Walsall, gave me an opportunity to bus it back to the Field of Wednes and, having noted the competition on track routes 31/32, decided to catch 30531 (BU16UYD).

Fantastic bus all round. Immediate impression was clean, bright and looks fantastic in the Diamond blue livery. Driver stopped dead against the Kassel kerb and even lowered the platform. Only nit pick I have is that the card reader is squirreled away behind the assault screen and, for a fat handed bloke like me, made it a bit tight to tap my phone against, though the driver did laugh and understood the predicament. He even offered me a paper ticket in case I needed it, which I politely declined.

Interior was very bright and the highback seats in (faux) leather made for an almost aircraft feel. Only 2 other passengers on the bus, so I sat on the first row of O/S above the steps and felt very high up.

Very smooth driver up to Bloxwich and the driver was very polite - only thing I noticed is that it was tracking as UYC instead.

Hats of to Diamond for the overall experience - I'll definitely be buzzin' it to my Dad's when I pick his car up very soon!

Apoogies, and exceptionally remiss of me, I forgot to post the follow on journey to my Diamond review above.

Having just missed the connecting WA9 at 12.49hrs, I had a walk around Bloxwich before catching the 13.19hrs to Wolverhampton. Bus 2078 arrived a couple of minutes late with a very healthy load - I asked the driver the fare to Wolverhampton, to which he said, "£2.90, but to you a fiver" - decent banter and a very cheerful smile.

I tapped on the card reader which was much easier to get to, again, driver offered me a paper ticket which I politely declined and sat in the same seat as I did on the Diamond service prior. Must say that, considering the bus had been out since 5.00hrs, it was surprisingly clear, little litter and the inside looked very airy for a bus that was 14 years old.

Very comfortable ride, a few rattles as you'd expect - bus accelerated quite enthusiastically and driver made good time. Again, driver gave me a cheery, "Thanks mate!", as I alighted and watched as it drove off.

Again, outstanding service, vehicle quality and a very enjoyable experience. Would it encourage me to use the bus more often - absolutely!

*Edit: As with Diamond, I have contacted NXWM to commend the driver - credit where credit is due!

Mega Kickdown

NXWM 6134 ENVIRO400 MMC

legroom alright, seating comfort alright, rattles pretty standard but wasnt bouncing around
typical 11 driving being ragged to pieces and revving its nuts off at 40mph to stay on time, suprisingly someone bothered to clean the windows

overall 6/10 wasnt too bad for ADL standards

NXWM 1804 SCANIA OMNILINK

legroom was *bad* for a person under 6'5 he shouldnt have to widen his legs to fit in the seat, lucky it was a night 4 otherwise it wouldnt have been nice to be squeezed next to someone. was probably one of the smoothest rides i been on at NXWM, suspension awesome seats are comfy sound is   :azn: its just the legroom that ruins it

7/10
