There could be TWO issues for SC buses using a black livery.
1. On the road black really shows up the dirt and so buses will require more frequent washing.
2. There should be a clear colour difference between operators. I reckon black livery is too close to the NXWM / NXC grey livery and passengers will become confused. I wonder what TfWM would say?

I've lost count of the numbers of Enviros in my area(South Wales)that have plain white skirting panels.
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.

Except it's not black, it's blue, the same blue Birmingham used to use,

Well it looks like black to me in the photo!
Is it a case that the 'new blue' is in fact black or should I make an appointment at Specsavers?
What do others think?

I think the colour difference is a case of lighting. Until recently, I thought the skirt of BCT livery was black (only seen 4651 and preserved 2222 and 3225 in lower light, which makes it look black), but seeing pictures of them in brighter light make it appear more blue.

Just wondering why 84024 has been painted in the new colours when it operates in Manchester

I'm presuming it was painted as it had an overall and removed which may have damaged the paint, but as these are rumoured as transferring with the depot to Metroline blue does seem a strange choice
