Firstly, an excellent collection of photos - takes me right back!

Choice 2 (wmbusphotos.com) is shown as location Wolverhampton. It's actually approaching Leamore, The Rosum passing over the traffic lights with the old Black Horse (?) pub behind it.

Absolutely loving this section of the website - a real blast from the past!

There was an additional No. 13 in the fleet. We operated Leyland National THX113S (I think it was 113!), a Volvo engine conversion, that operated for 3 months off and on. It suffered a number of issues - it sported a big sticker on the rear showing, "Re-powered by Volvo", and one of the drivers wrote, "Repaired by Trevor", after the mechanic that spent most of the time working on it!!!

As an aside to this the main site has now gone past having photos of 40,000 different vehicles, there's well over 100,000 photos on there

It was THX 190S. It was on loan from Volvo demonstrating the repower in 9/93

That's the one! Didn't enamour itself to the Choice engineers as they were all 510 purists. They did consult with Choice about their re-engining options but decided against it.
