Guessing its to free up buses for other routes,it's been happening to a lot of routes (and operators)

and tbf half of the route branded buses end up on different routes anyway you'd have 101,33,7,16 branded buses all on the X4 at once sometimes

CONJECTURE

Early preparation for fleet movements when E164-E333 enter service? Being a brand new garage I would imagine PB will be in pole position to get quite a few of them.

That was my guess to be honest.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

Remember that Coventry is to be 100% electrics so its possible that some single deck routes in the city might get converted to electric deckers

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

I personally hope that is the case, we only need singles on 20B and 24/25 because of low bridges, all other routes can have deckers i think

Out of interest, where is the low bridge(s) on the 24/25 route? I was sure I had covered that area in my old 13' 6" truck and I don't recall having any problems with bridges except the one in Long Lawton which the stagecoach 86 serves.

Is it more that they tend to use the short singles because of (1) the expected load and (2) the tightness of some of those Warwickshire villages (namely Frankton)?

Havent seen this mentioned anywhere but 7031 is sporting an all over ad (an energy drink I think). Unusually it also includes the front end.

That explains the colour differential on Bustimes - thanks for the update!
Autofare 3 - the ticket that laughs in the face of contactless!

can see that confusing some passengers seeing a "Rockstar Energy" bus approaching, especially since (from the pictures i've seen) it doesn't have any NXWM stickers

PB E400s are starting to lose the branding as they start to debrand the rear of the 7/101 as 4814 and 4818 lose their rear branding.
