39469 was the bus involved, real shame, almost always the newer buses getting targeted.

I guess someone did it as they were getting off the bus? The BBC article says there were no passengers on board.

Probably left it smoldering on the back seat and then left the bus rapidly.  Hopefully they'll catch who's responsible.
