SC 60 replaces part of the NXC 3 route from tomorrow am.
When I looked this afternoon so far some of the bus stop flags and TT's have not yet been updated by TfWM.
Guess someone will be getting up very early tomorrow to get it sorted?

Rocky start for the Stagecoach routes in Coventry by the looks- 3/4 buses I have waited for haven't turned up! (1 on 7C, 2 on 51) You'd think TFWM check the operator who have been awarded the contract have enough buses/drivers to cover the route. Hopefully they can buck their ideas up and chuck on a horse drawn Stagecoach if worse comes to worse.

There's a Stagecoach Enviro 200 broken down in Solihull Town Centre (36429). Looks abandoned.

The flags & TT at the stops for the SC 60 where it replaced the NXC 3 section still have not been updated by this afternoon. Poor show by the TfWM commanders in Birmingham.

Will TfWM replace the flags with brand new ones or just blank out the '3' I wonder? Some flags have up to 8 routes on them so it would be a lot cheaper keeping the old flags and putting a sticker to cover up the '3'.

Also Skipworth Road does not have any actual bus stops as TfWM introduced the cost saving idea for the NXC 3 that you could stop the bus almost anywhere along that road to get on /off. Wonder if the SC 60 drivers know about this?

There's quite a number of stops across the West Midlands with out of date information. I suspect the extended Christmas break meant staff were not at work as much as otherwise might have been the case. However where a new operator is on the service should have been priorities.

A lot of the tenders were awarded with very short notice.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

which doesnt do anyone any good.
I put this down to poor planning by TfWM - wonder what they have to say about it all.

I would agree, certainly the 1st of January was probably not a good date to have all these timetable/service changes come into effect, especially as the Christmas/New Year break would have meant that new timetable posters and stop flags couldn't have been printed and installed in time.

I though they registered services about 19 December so could printed them before Christmas but would of been a rush job but would of been ready to put up on 2 Jan

I think it was the extended Christmas break which caused a problem too along with the large number of changes happening all at once.
