That one was the best by far, sad to see it go.

4240 WB - Withdrawn

4417 is now the last B7 ALX400 standing.

Trident 4194

Got a withdrawal date for 4417? @Tony

BN

4311, 4428, 4429, 4435, 4440, 4442 WN-withdrawn.

BN, I make that 178 at Wolves, taking into account those withdrawals:

WN [102 DD/76 SD]
2 Wright StreetLite (433/5)
9 E200 (753; 845-52)
65 B7RLE (2001-29/59-90/92-95)

1 MCW Metrobus (2957)
24 Trident (4427/41/43/45/49/64; 4535-39/41/58/61/77/94-99; 4619/27/32)

8 E400 (4983/86-91/95)
30 E400H (5401-30)
39 E400MMC (6759-65/67-95; 6955-57)

That looks like 20% of WN's residual Tridents culled at a stroke; ex-service in the main.

Quite a proportion and I reckon leaving only 100 ALX400s nominally in service including B7 sole survivor 4417.
Don't you start.

Thanks for that. Am I right in saying 431 is a PN bus loaned back to Wolverhampton?

Yes. It's there until the PN drivers have received training on it.

Incidentally 4535 is the Trident in Wolverhampton Corporation livery so hopefully will be preserved. It was on the 79 yesterday.

Thought that was the ultimate point for painting current in service vehicles in heritage livery, they would eventually join the heritage fleet full time?

I suppose eventually a red & white bus & a crimson bus will eventually be part of the heritage fleet?

(I suppose no later than the end of the decade or whenever they said diesel vehicles would be out of the picture?)

You say 'not yet' as though we're expecting these Tridents to end en masse - have I missed the withdrawal edict?
Don't you start.

The batch of Tridents 4535-4539 were listed as withdrawn in an earlier post. However ALL are in use today.
That said, I do expect the number in service to continue to fall over the next few months as newer buses are cascaded from other depots.
