Very interesting to hear. Pity about Yellow Buses folding. I'm actually going down there next month so I'll see what the new look network looks like.

NX is confirmed as being the buyer of Yellow Coaches & engineering operations, but not the bus division.

It seems national express have not brought them it seems xelabus have brought the coach side

NX have bought the Yellow Buses coach part which operated NX contracts + are believed to be taking on Yellow Buses depot.

Further to this morning's post, the following has now been announced, meaning that Yellow Coaches has not been sold to National Express.

Eastleigh-based independent bus operator Xelabus have secured Yellow Coaches Limited, the
coaching subsidiary of Yellow buses in Bournemouth from its former Directors and share holders.

Xela Group which already comprises of businesses such as Xelabus, Xelacoach and more recently Isle
of Wight based Seaview Services. The business has built a strong brand in the area with its attractive
Green and Cream vehicles built up over the past 12 years when established in 2010.

Gareth Blair, Owner & Managing Director of the XelaGroup said "We are delighted to have secured
a popular name in the Bournemouth and surrounding areas. We hope to continue building on the
brand and secure further school, college and private hire contracts."

Simon Newport, former director and share holder of Yellow Coaches Limited said "Its fantastic that
the Xelagroup team have agreed to keep Yellow Coaches going in Bournemouth. I am confident that
the business will continue to provide school contracts and tenders across the conurbation to a high
level. I think the future looks bright for Yellow Coaches."

Yellow Coaches will continue to operate the megabus M3 service.

Xelabus have pulled back from operating the old Yellowbus services in Bournemouth, with the expectation that the local council are going to get someone else to provide the services.

morebus took over running services 18, 33 and 36 from 15th February.  Morebus will also begin operating new school services 85-88 to St Peter's School from 20th March 2023.
