Does anyone remember the old 88/88A/88B tservices that were operated by Stafford Depot. Also did anyone ever have a ride on the 428 Lichfield-Uttoxeter route, If so can you please share your experience

I've been on the 60 and 10A and noticed stickers saying "route 66" on some of the bus stop flags around Burntwood and wondered what they were for... then I came across an old Central Buses timetable on Google for route 66. Did Arriva have all three Lichfield routes at this time (60, 61, 62)?

Centrals route 66 operated between burntwood and Lichfield taking the same route as the 60. Arriva only operated the 60 and the 62 between Cannock and Lichfield at this time, arriva also ran the service 15 between Boney hay and Lichfield aswell.

Quite a mix of services then. Seems more straight forward now!

The 60/X60, 61 and 62 were running with Arriva in Sept 15 when the 66 was operating, the 15 was still running but only a limited number of journeys. The 66 was withdrawn in Apr 16.

Travelling between Walsall and Lichfield the Diamond 35 is faster and more direct than the 10A but doesn't seem to be well used when I go on it. Also the last journey in the evening skips out Aldridge which makes the journey even shorter. They should call it X35. If they marketed better I think they could compete with the 10A which is also a good service especially on a Sunday.
