Rather interesting to find that Yeomans is now using the Swift Pay as you Go Card though not serving the TfWM area

QuoteYeomans Travel - Swift Card
The cashless way to travel

From Monday 2nd November we will be rolling out a new way to pay on board our buses.

Using Swift will let you top up online, on the bus and soon you will be able to use Payzone facility.

Cards are free and can be registered online on the Swift website where you can top up or select an auto top up when the card balance goes below a selected limit.

The Swift card can hold a maximum of £50 at any one time and can be used to buy multiple tickets on one journey so if you have 2 people travelling, one card is all you need.  Your balance is shown at the bottom of your bus ticket too so you will always know how much you have left!

You can order your card online direct from Swift via their website: https://www.wmnetwork.co.uk/swift and then select Swift for you and then pay as you go.

This is the only part of the scheme we are operating at the moment.

You can set up an account online which will help safeguard your card or you can contact us at Yeomans Travel and we can either send you a blank card out or you can call in and collect one if this is easier, plus you can always top it up here as well!

This will mean you no longer have to hunt around for change in the mornings or the night before and there is no expiry date, so if you are not a regular user the money stays on your Swift card and can be used as and when required.

For more information on this scheme, please see either the Swift website or contact Yeomans Travel on 01432 356201.

@Adam 404
That is you edition and not TfWM's isn't it? I'm looking at the TfWM edition (dated 1 Sept 19). 😁
That's not what you said. Either way, TfWM don't appear to be producing leaflets of any kind any time soon.

As you say @Adam 404  you don't show it in the timetable that you've produced. Which in my eyes doesnt seem right but hay ho

Hi @Tony  Ok then I will suggest that it either should be show on all three routes that they take between Bitmingham and Bromford or none at all.

However when TfWM go back to printing their vertiono of the timetables how would you suggest that they show them running between B'ham and Bromford @Tony and @Adam 404? As you say @Adam 404  you don't show it in the timetable that you've produced. Which in my eyes doesnt seem right but hay ho lets just carry on with this topic now and move past this. 😁
The timetables show timing points only and don't feature a map so I have absolutely no idea what you are on about. All information on the latest X12 timetable leaflet is correct.

So why does it say it in the currect timetable for the X12?
Nechells Parkway does not feature on either the website timetable or travelshop leaflet.

But to some, having a direct service from their street, rather than having to walk to the main road to catch an NX service is more attractive.  At the end of the day, tendered routes are such as they are socially necessary.  It gives passengers more choice where they can go, and extending may increase passenger numbers slightly.
The 53 has 10 minutes turn around time. Even using the most direct route to Chelmsley Wood via Auckland Drive would take 10 minutes each way. Extending to Chelmsley would either result in the loss of a clockface headway, poor reliability, or extra cost of the introduction to a third vehicle to the PVR. The costs vs benefits of this are unlikely to improve the value for money that greatly and the cost of this extra vehicle wouldn't be covered.

They do, the X51s stop just north of Bloxwich at the Staffordshire border.
@DJ  Are you referring to the bus stops themselves not having live times?
Such as here in Great Wyrley.
https://bustimes.org/stops/3800C610301

Meanwhile further along the route they show as live times.
https://bustimes.org/stops/43000626202

Vehicles still show their location beyond Bloxwich, as @Tony  has said.

On further inspection - they do appear to not track beyond Great Wyrley

The city centre stop for 3 to Binley is moving from Hales St to 'Ironmonger Row' (Burges) on Sunday
https://nxbus.co.uk/coventry/information/service-changes/enter-title-2020-11-02

What is the logic for this? Is this making the route a bit longer? Maybe there is good reason but I cant see it at the mo?
The route has to loop Trinity Street / The Burges anyway. This change in stand will reduce the walk to the centre of the City. Passengers for Pool Meadow can still alight / board at Sprinkles.

This seems the best thread for this question.

Are the Travelshops, now they have the screens up, classed as 'essential'?

Will they be closing for at least a month, from next Thursday or not?
@Westy
Travelshops are essential and will remain open at their current hours.

Doe s anyone know why Dudley travel shop are not display timetables?
Also does anyone know if them are printing new timetables?
Members of the public are not allowed to handle leaflets from a rack for Health & Safety reasons. Timetables are available from a member of staff within.

What is the current status with Walsall Travelshop? Are they planning to reopen in the same premises, because if they do, they need to move that job club thing that was blocking the other set of doors!
Walsall travelshop reopened on Monday 17th August in the same building

Now that most of the Travel Shops are now open(apart from Walsall!), are new timetable leaflets actually being produced?
Yes! Leaflets have been produced throughout the pandemic.

Further on - I assume the 14/14A will use all of Charter Avenue, then Sir Henry Parkes Road, Kirby Corner Road etc (with an outbound and inbound clockwise loop around Cannon Park shops for the 14). And not use Mitchell Avenue or Westwood Way.
Towards University of Warwick buses will use the full length of Charter Avenue, loop Cannon Park (14), then along Kirby Corner Road to University.
Towards Eastern Green & City Centre it will use Mitchell Avenue to join Charter Avenue.

I guess the 14/14A could use Hockley Lane, Sutton Avenue, Farcroft Avenue in both directions - but the bottom bit of Hockley Lane/and a small section of Broad Lane wouldn't be served.
This is the correct route.

Does that mean that the 60 will still operate along the roads that it currently does?

Also arrond Eastern Green will the 14 operate along the current 8 route or the current 60 route?
Service 8 and 8A in Eastern Green are being replaced by Service 14 & 14A. It will follow the route of service 8 to Hockley Lane.

Looks like the new timetables have been added now:

https://nxbus.co.uk/routes/coventry/?page=3

Still not sure of the 14/14A route from Eastern Green though, as no route maps are showing. There was mention of NXC teaming up or partnering with the University of Warwick, which would suggest the 14/14A mirrors the 60/61 in the Tile Hill and Canley areas. The every 20-minute daytime frequency for Whoberley & Eastern Green etc seems a bit lightweight to me though.

I'd say your City Centre pick-up points for the above services are about right; the 8/8A is using Pool Meadow in both directions, as is the 17/17A. The 3 isn't, so presumably journeys to Binley/UHCW will drop-off/pick-up outside the Old Fire Station (if the 3 enters the city centre area from the Swanswell St/Pool area).
Service 14 will run along Banner Lane to Tile Hill South.
