Quote from: Tony on October 10, 2024, 07:28:52 PMThe Priory Queensway, Moor Street (not Queensway) and Colmore Row aren't the old inner ring road
Oops, I forgot Priory Queensway wasn't part of the old ring road.

However, I still stand on the point that using many parts of the inner ring-road as the terminus for many routes is much better than a bus station.

Having every route terminate along the old inner ring-road is very easy and convenient. Additionally, a lot of vacant land within the city centre is earmarked for development in the future.

The uprated ZF ones are mega quick, unfortunately 6104 is not one of them.

Stratford Road is back open today (more than one month late too late), felt quite relieved to finally see some buses down that end. I believe some temporary traffic lights are still there  , so we are not out of the woods just yet.

Saw 1812 being driven on Highgate Road NIS leaning to one side, what would be the cause of this?

Holy... hopefully everyone is ok.

It was about time for a bit of change on the inner circle. The omnilinks were faithful, but were always rammed during peak hours.

Quote from: Tony on September 02, 2024, 01:25:29 PMNext three for service have just gone to PB and will possibly be out tomorrow

E185, E319 & E323
Is there a target date for the entire batch to fully enter service?

You wait 16 years for an E400 to be withdrawn and then 3 get written-off in a row.

Quote from: Tony on August 15, 2024, 07:38:58 PMNo it's not. Tridents 200 miles on motorways is not a good idea. It has been towed by Alpha recovery
I've seen that these Tridents are more prone to fires.

A 22+ year run is pretty impressive, definitely one of the best bus types around in the last 20 years. These beasts will be missed for sure.

That should be when the transfers start to get interesting.

FirstBus 37447 (MX58 DZM) has been the victim of riots in Leeds. Hopefully these bums can be prosecuted very harshly.

Quote from: Westy on July 14, 2024, 02:21:07 PMI prefer to give the guy a chance.

He has the cards in his hands now, a labour council/government etc. If he doesn't deliver something substantial in his first term (not bus franchising), he is basically useless. I'll give him a chance, but given the recent news and history of the WM region, it's a whole load of pessimism right now.

Our northern neighbour in Manchester has some optimistic vibes around, and Burnham is the face of it all. No wonder he won twice in a landslide.
