4943 not tracking on 14

Both 4929 and 4942 have the Velo advertisement wrap now. Can someone post that on bustimes please?

Any idea what's happening with bus times? Many routes missing including 14,94,95,97/A

Never drove the 14, but have drove 97/97A. Find the route interesting. Been told the 14 is a challenge to drive the first time but after that you get used to it, it also has the most dropbacks (time at terminus) on the runs you get.

The other factor could be, the driver got bored and wanted to mix it up, or he knows someone on that route and wants to go onto it.

Yh he's had a few duties on it this week. Was probably one of the best drivers the route has, surprised he moved to a different one but as you said maybe got bored and wanted to mix it up.

It's been replaced by a new electric vehicle. Tony has stated that hopefully it's going to be preserved.

I was on 4897 on the 14 today, this lad tried sneaking on with an expired ticket. He tried just flashing it at the driver but the driver saw it, tapped on his cab door and told him it's invalid get off. The lad walked off laughing.

Yeah you can, I started on the stechford (94/95) 5 day and moved onto Bristol (61/63) late nights around 2 months into the job. Still do the 94/95 here and there, I had 2 dutys on it last week. It all depends on how many spaces there are on each rota.

Oh ok. Thank you. In your opinion, is the 97 rota better than the 14 one?

Just a quick question for any drivers. After you've been driving for a while, say your on the 14 when you join, can you change your rota whenever you want? I know a young driver who used to always do the 14, now does it rarely and I'm pretty sure he does the 97 now. He moved away from the 14 after about 9 months.

Caught 4880 on the 20:27 14 earlier. Unusually we followed 4873 which ended up on Curzon Street on the X12 with passengers on. Best place to change the bus over maybe looking at bus times?

Seems the 94/95 were having problems earlier the 20:05 6856 annoyingly had the driver change over on the 14 stop and went out without picking anyone up. And then the 20:15 6872 went back to the garage as the driver was having problems with the bus I think.

Mad people on that 14 as well some homeless people and a young lad dragged a completely unconscious woman on and said she will wake up when she gets a seat, the driver made them get her off. Never seen anything like it in all the years I have been travelling on these buses.

That is mental! Still trying to get my head around this...

Seems to be a common occurrence with youths specifically, I don't know if they think they own the bus or something but it shouldn't be tolerated but bus drivers can't do anything about it otherwise hate and abuse is thrown their way.

Yes becoming a major problem. Many youths jump on the 14 and the drivers knock on the window but they just carry on walking. Another thing becoming too common is fake tickets or old daysavers.
