Quote from: DJ on Today at 07:39:51 AMMCV do offer a 10.8m eVoRa, but still more of a 'heavyweight' bus compared to an E200. I agree that keeping a standardised fleet would have it's benefits, but you also run the risk of the whole fleet being grounded, should an issue arise.
Yeah plenty of E200's avaliable and as long as he doesn't do what Travel Express did and buy sheds then he should be Ok. It doesn't appear he brought Sheds with the last E200's they have 6 Buses at the minute not sure how many he needs I believe they have 6 two ex Vision, 1 ex Panther plus 2 ex Igo.

Quote from: Tony on Yesterday at 07:42:11 PMKnowing Shaz Ali and how he realised he messed up at A2Z with his random purchases I suspect he will find some decent E200s from somewhere
The MCV Volvo's would seem a solid option but probably would be E200's to match his Fleet plus none of the routes mentioned scream Heavyweight Bus

Quote from: JosephR on Yesterday at 01:26:41 PMI don't agree with it just being 'a Birmingham thing'. The Black Country aren't really an exemption. We can already see efforts being made with the single deck fleet over there.
Yeah but that's because there end of life or at garage's like WN rotated around our Plattys are Still currently used on there routes

That's sort of what I based the 9 and 41 being Late on Same reason the 34, 37 and 39 are all late to

Quote from: Jack on Yesterday at 11:58:08 AMAre you watching BusTimes or have you seen these yourself?
I know these as my Mate has come back from work and lives in New Invention he asked me what time rhe buses were, I checked Google and told him a 9 is due at quarter past I asked him if the 9 was there as it should have been, he said it wasn't, I checked where it was it had left Rushall 15 minuted late. I then told him the 41 was due at 18 past but he then said he caught it and sure enough he caught the 10:48 that left at 11:02 and there was another one which he said he saw but there wasn't a driver and that was the 09:48. The 11:18 should have been beating Walsall and it wasn't. Bustimes backed up what my mate said and can also tell me and I know as I've been out and live on these routes that the 34, 37 and 39 are all late 39 almost 2 hours Dodgy maths probably due to Roadworks and Snow, and the 37 which 1851 currently is on the 39 was on was also late due to Gridlock in Bentley from J10 to Willenhall so the 529 would be Late to. According to Facebook it is still Gridlocked now.

Not everything has to be a lie it has been snowing @Westy did say the Estates around Bloxwhich were bad, The 9 serves Trevor Road, the 41 Lodge Farm which I know the School there posted they were understanding of pupils being late today as they said Stroud Aveune and the surrounding area was bad.

Roads extremely bad around Bloxwhich the 11:15 9 of Walsall hasn't even reached Walsall and is 15 minutes late, the 09:48 41 2136 is still in Walsall, 2123 on the 10:48 is about 15 minutes late and the 11:18 doesn't even appear to have got to Willenhall yet either, my mate is 2123 now he was expected to wait 5 minutes for the 9 or so

They need a fair few new buses then, bit of mileage from Bescot to Bilston, West Brom and Merry Hill

It must be a Birmingham thing as The 82/87, 8/X8 and 529 are all still branded along with for now the 9, X10 and 50. The 529 Buses are mostly used on the 529 and even if they are used on the 8 or X8 or 79 or the 1 or other routes they usually Don't confuse people

Quote from: 2206 on November 19, 2024, 07:44:06 PMIf they do it's not a public service at least as far as I know.
The X11 from Aston Six Ways tracked as YN57FWG this morning but I believe it'd be closed door.
He works there so he would be allowed to use it

I expect them to acquire more Buses as they have 5 I think 2 for the 19 and 1 spare leaving 2 for new routed and 1 needed spare or maybe more needed as service or Spare

Quote from: Jack on November 15, 2024, 08:33:00 PMDoes it really matter? It's a training bus on a route used by training vehicles, I've seen the training B7TL's there on numerous occasions.
I haven't seen them go down and before they became trainers they hardly ever appeared in Darlaston if at all. Double Deckers haven't been down Stafford Road since the 79, Yeah it's Driver Trainer but we usually get the B7RLE's, B10's enter this part of Darlaston maybe if it was a Gemini, Scania or Trident E400 it might be more noteworthy

Quote from: Tony on November 15, 2024, 07:15:53 PMBut it is a route used by driver trainers and B7s have been in the training fleet for over 5 years
I said that I was aware of so They probably have been down there but I haven't seen any probably should have worded my initial post better
