this is the arriva seed vehicle that was at leicester before.

To think it was in Leicester this morning! That was crazy fast!

Further service changes from next month include the LC1 being retimed and rerouted to serve a garden centre, and rerouting of the journeys of the 154 that skipped Cropston Reservoir so all journeys will run via Reservoir Road; they have also announced that they will no longer run the Loughborough town services 3 and 13.

Four new HC- prefixed town services are also being launched in Market Harborough.

Arriva have announced the introduction of four new services on behalf of Leicestershire County Council:

We are delighted to announce we will be running 4 new routes on behalf of Leicestershire County Council (LCC). From 2 June 2025 we'll be introducing services LC14 and LC16:

LC14: Hinckley – Sapcote – Stoney Stanton – Fosse Park [new service]
This route will run several journeys each day on weekdays and Saturdays. It will also serve Aston Flamville, Sharnford, Broughton Astley, Cosby, Littlethorpe, Narborough & Enderby Park and Ride.

LC16: Ashby – Osgathorpe – Shepshed – Loughborough [formerly Diamond 129]
This route will run several journeys each day on weekdays and Saturdays. It will also serve Lount, Newton Coleorton, Peggs Green, Griffydam, Belton and Nanpanton.

Then, from 14 July 2025 services LC12 and LC15 will start.

LC12: Witherley – Atherstone – Market Bosworth – Measham [formerly Stagecoach 7]
This route will run once in the morning and once in the afternoon on weekdays. It will also serve Fenny Drayton, Ratcliffe Culey, Sibson, Carlton and Newton Burgoland.

LC15: Coalville – Stanton-under-Bardon – Markfield – Newton Linford – Anstey – Leicester [formerly Diamond 125, curtailed to Coalville]
This route will run several journeys each day on weekdays and Saturdays. It will also serve Hugglescote, Ellistown, Markfield Court, Glenfield & Glenfield Hospital. This means there are now even more buses along Groby Road in Leicester.

These routes are open for all customers. Single, returns and our range of Arriva passes & app products are also available to use on these services within the respective boundary areas.

Also routes 125,129 out of loughborough and leicester are to be cancelled (unless a new operator is found just like these two services)

I popped in to the Sustainable Travel Roadshow in Loughborough town hall yesterday (Thursday) and a member of staff at the roadshow confirmed that Arriva will be taking over the service 129.

Solos 312, 313, 314 and enviros 591 & 592 have had next stop announcements fitted. They have the same system as the evoras but these don't have rear facing screens.

Sadly I have to report another bus fire,this one being Arriva London hybrid HV76 of Palmers Green. It was running out of service on the North Circular Road returning home when its rear end was BBQ'd. Given its age it is safe to assume it will be withdrawn.

And of course, people in the comments of posts on Facebook were all going, "It's an electric bus, it's an electric bus"... 🤦🏽

And where did they go? One's on the 153 today! (Plus two on the 85)

And there's simultaneously a full contingent of electric buses on the 5s and 127, so...

Nasty incident in Leicester yesterday, 19 year old pedestrian hit by Kite electroliner possibly suffered life changing injuries.

Saw the scene of the accident myself when I went into Leicester yesterday morning.

The congestion on Burleys Way was bad enough without all the buses normally using Belgrave Gate being funneled through there and the surrounding streets.

Also routes 125,129 out of loughborough and leicester are to be cancelled (unless a new operator is found just like these two services)

Or they'll have it replaced with one of those newfangled DRT things...

Services 125 and 129 show up on Bustimes as cancelled effective 31st of May

I suspect it is actually 25 buses that were to be delivered rather than 27. 8049 and 8050 have disappeared off BLOTW
