Hence my use of 'should'.

You would have thought someone in the depot would pick up on this, probably don't rock up to early and don't finish to late so probably never see the state of them

And where did they go? One's on the 153 today! (Plus two on the 85)

And there's simultaneously a full contingent of electric buses on the 5s and 127, so...

SSmith09

Former 4577 (YX72 OEW) which went up to Yorkshire and became 2007 is back in Leicester...

Currently on the 31A tracking on bustimes.org as 4548

Nothing tracking on Bustimes since Sunday (including Derby)

Arriva have announced the introduction of four new services on behalf of Leicestershire County Council:
https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/latest-news/new-services-for-leicestershire--and-warwickshire
QuoteWe are delighted to announce we will be running 4 new routes on behalf of Leicestershire County Council (LCC). From 2 June 2025 we'll be introducing services LC14 and LC16:

LC14: Hinckley – Sapcote – Stoney Stanton – Fosse Park [new service]
This route will run several journeys each day on weekdays and Saturdays. It will also serve Aston Flamville, Sharnford, Broughton Astley, Cosby, Littlethorpe, Narborough & Enderby Park and Ride.

LC16: Ashby – Osgathorpe – Shepshed – Loughborough [formerly Diamond 129]
This route will run several journeys each day on weekdays and Saturdays. It will also serve Lount, Newton Coleorton, Peggs Green, Griffydam, Belton and Nanpanton.

Then, from 14 July 2025 services LC12 and LC15 will start.

LC12: Witherley – Atherstone – Market Bosworth – Measham [formerly Stagecoach 7]
This route will run once in the morning and once in the afternoon on weekdays. It will also serve Fenny Drayton, Ratcliffe Culey, Sibson, Carlton and Newton Burgoland.

LC15: Coalville – Stanton-under-Bardon – Markfield – Newton Linford – Anstey – Leicester [formerly Diamond 125, curtailed to Coalville]
This route will run several journeys each day on weekdays and Saturdays. It will also serve Hugglescote, Ellistown, Markfield Court, Glenfield & Glenfield Hospital. This means there are now even more buses along Groby Road in Leicester.

These routes are open for all customers. Single, returns and our range of Arriva passes & app products are also available to use on these services within the respective boundary areas.

The "LC12" has taken the Market Bosworth-routed school service from the Stagecoach 7.

On bustimes, there is a variation listed for Stagecoach's 7 from 01 June 2025 saying "2 hour service". I wonder if they wanted to split the two routes up and enhance the main part of the service?

The variation to the registration for the 7 is shown as a 'Cancellation' so it means that Stagecoach won't be involved in the route after 1st June.

What is actually happening to the service remains to be seen - when Leicestershire County Council get round to bothering to advertise the changes! Hopefully, it isn't being cut to the single journey in each direction which Arriva will be operating.

Ah, I see. I missed the "cancellation" bit because the text underneath had been amended.

If it is cut, then Twycross'll and some other villages around it will be left with no bus service at all, unless there's an "on demand" bus around there.

Stagecoach have announced that its 7 will be withdrawn after operation this Saturday, 31 May.

I can't find any sign of a replacement until Arriva's LC12 starts on 14 July.  I have used Leicestershire CC's "Choose how you move" planner to try Measham to Atherstone next week. The options are via Burton and Lichfield ... or by bike.

Thank you! South Staffs Facebook page states they will operate a free LC11 from 2 June to 12 July.

Leicestershire County Council's 'Choose How You Move' website has details for this and the Loughborough town routes 3/13 which Centrebus are finishing operating after this Saturday and will be operated by Central Connect. See link (towards bottom of webpage):

https://www.choosehowyoumove.co.uk/public-transport/bus-service-updates/

These are all interim services before further changes on 14th July and are to be free to use for passengers.

It says the 7 is to be operated by L A Travel, which is a company which was taken over by South Staffs a few years ago - maybe they still use the operator name?

I clocked bus 3153 operating the 1525 departure, on service LC16, from Loughborough. On its exterior, offside it still wore vinyls for 'Leighton's Buses' and 'Have a great journey! This bus service is made possible by Central Bedfordshire Council'. Is it really? Arriva's usual attention to detail on delivery reigning supreme then...

To be fair, the bus entered service in Leics just a few hours after leaving Beds.
